OUR MISSION IS TO SHARE THE
LOVE OF CHRIST EVERY DAY.

WELCOME TO LOVE OF CHRIST CHURCH IN ST. CLOUD, MN!

It’s all about Jesus. Everything we strive to do and be is influenced by Him. In the Bible, a guy by the name of Paul wrote a letter to a church much like Love of Christ (LOC), but just in a different part of the world. In his letter he wrote these powerful words:

“Be imitators of God, therefore, as dearly loved children and live a life of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us.” (Eph. 5:1-2)

That’s what we want to be – people who imitate God by living lives of love just as Jesus Christ loved us. I guess that’s why this church is named “Love of Christ.” If we can love every day like Jesus loves us, our world would be a much better place.

Because we truly believe that, we made it our mission: to share the love of Christ every day. It’s not long. It’s not complicated. It’s not hiding anything. It’s just all about Jesus. Welcome to Love of Christ!

Leading Like Jesus: Father Figures
Father’s Day is a mixed bag for our society. Some of us have fathers that we would like to celebrate, while others have fathers they would just as soon forget. Regardless of your personal relationship with your dad, the influence that they can have on their family and the world should not be taken lightly. As we continue our series of Leading like Jesus, we look at Jesus’ attitude toward fathers, their importance, and the special place that God has carved out for their influence.

Leading Like Jesus: Follow the Leader
When you think about leaders, who comes to mind? The current president of our country? A prime minister? Your boss? Many of us look to others as leaders, but in reality we should be looking in the mirror. When Jesus called the future leaders of his church, what did he see in the disciples? This ragtag group of misfits were some of the least likely to start a worldwide movement that is still going to this day. Jesus taught them to lead, and if he able to teach them, he can teach us as well. Join us this Sunday and throughout the summer as we strive for the goal of ‘Leading like Jesus’.

This Is Not The End: Christians Are Just Beginning
Christians are just beginning!  I know headlines these days try to display a different side of Christianity - a losing ground, aging, conservative population of our country.  But they’re blind to the bigger picture: the Spirit of God is among us, active, alive, powerful!  Come hear a different side to an often one-sided story this Sunday.

This Is Not The End: When The Bar Closes
Would Jesus have a beer with you?  I know we often think of Jesus as stern, serious, maybe a spark in his eye, but in general we think of Jesus as a man with a mission: to pay for the sins of the world on the cross.  That was certainly his mission, but there’s a crazy gospel story that suggests that maybe Jesus would have a beer with me…

This is Not the End: When You’re Up to Your Eyeballs in Debt
Do you have any financial debt?  If you do you’re part of the 80% of Americans who carry debt.  That’s the American way isn’t it?  Now, do you give generously?  I’m not so sure that is the American way… but it is the way of Jesus.  How do we give generously even while we carry debt?  Listen to Pastor Paul’s honest assessment of Christian giving this Sunday.

This is Not the End: When You Lose What’s Most Important to You
Everyone faces loss differently.  Some try to forget, others try to correct, and even others try to replace.  Christians don’t do any of these.  The way we deal with loss is wholly different because of who Jesus is in our lives.  Pastor Paul has a great message this week for navigating the worst losses of life - take a listen.

This is Not the End: When You Can’t Hide Your Sin Anymore
Doesn’t it stink to get caught? From minor things to major, getting caught is the pits! Until Jesus catches you… Come hear Pastor Paul’s message this Sunday about how Christians not only confront others, but are themselves confronted by Jesus differently.

This is Not the End: When You Botch Faith
Have you ever botched faith?  Meaning, have you ever had a moment where you doubted?  I think we all can say that at one time or another we have botched faith!  Thankfully God’s grace is greater than our botchy faith!  Come to LOC this week to be inspired by a message from Pastor Paul entitled “This is Not the End: When You Botch Faith”.
