At Love of Christ we are building a vision for the future!
Sight into the future is a real gift – one that only comes from God. Many times we are too hasty a people, launching into the future without any direction. At other times, we think we know the future and are too proud and overconfident and fall flat on our faces because we have not consulted God and his plan. As Proverbs 26:12 says, “Do you see a man wise in his own eyes? There is more hope for a fool than for him.”
Right now at Love of Christ, God is doing a new thing! He is changing our vision of the future, opening our eyes once again to what he has in store for us. We are currently in the process of developing a new vision that addresses our changing surroundings and changing church. However, there are ten habits we are developing as a church to catapult us into this vision that God is developing right in front of our eyes. Based on our mission statement and Acts 2:42-47, these habits are our goal for the next year and hope for years to come:

1. Be in God’s Word – “APOSTLES' TEACHING”
• Family Devotions based on “Walking the Bible”
2. Worship – “THE FELLOWSHIP”
A commitment to attend regularly
500 people in worship by Fall of 2008
3. Communion – “THE BREAKING OF THE BREAD”
• Focus on Communion Sunday, July 15th – and 3 times a year
4. Prayer – “PRAYER”
A church in prayer
Create a Prayer room
5. Service – “WONDERS AND MIRACLES”
Opportunities throughout the year – individual and corporate
• New Orleans Youth Mission 07
• Paint the Town - September 07
