In grateful response to God's grace empowered by the Holy Spirit through Word and Sacraments, the mission of The Lutheran Church--Missouri Synod is vigorously to make known the love of Christ by word and deed within our churches, communities, and the world.

There's more to Focus on the Family than meets the eye (or ear). Even those who listen regularly to our radio broadcast and have a fairly solid acquaintance with our purposes and philosophy might be surprised at the actual scope of our activities and involvement. From humble and simple beginnings – a book on child discipline and a 25-minute weekly broadcast which first aired in 1977 – Focus on the Family has grown and expanded over the years to include a wide array of separate ministries under its umbrella.

The Lutheran Women’s Missionary League (LWML), with a membership of over 250,000, is the official women’s organization of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod. Alcoholics Anonymous® is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for AA membership; we are self-supporting through our own contributions. AA is not allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organization or institution; does not wish to engage in any controversy, neither endorses nor opposes any causes. Our primary purpose is to stay sober and help other alcoholics to achieve sobriety.

Birthline is a Christian non-profit agency whose purpose is twofold. First, it is to provide personal services and support to anyone confronted with an unexpected pregnancy and its many related problems. Second, it is to promote respect for life and those personal values, attitudes, and behaviors which prevent unwanted pregnancies.
